I saw Arthur only twice in person, but he added a dimension to my life which has proved to enhance and enrich me beyond measure. I am so grateful for what knowing him has taught me, and I hope that in some small way I can pass along his teachings and his leadership through continued involvement in Coming to the Table in our area. God rest his soul.

My deepest sympathies go out to Marsha and her daughters. Art was a dear friend and mentor for the last 15 years, and I will sorely miss his brilliant mind and gentle soul. His selfless dedication to uncovering the hidden history of our country and the historical harms done to different ethnicities, and his journey and quest for Restorative Justice, Truth and Reconciliation have touched and inspired countless people across the country. My journey and life have been forever changed by his consistent support and encouragement. Thank you, Art. You will live on forever in our hearts.

I am dismayed and heartbroken and feel a profound loss at Arthur’s passing. I have known him through his leadership of the group Coming to the Table and first met him at a Community Organizing group meeting. I valued his commitment to justice and social equality and had admired his passion and dedication. I have lost my inspiration and guide in the work of achieving justice, and I hope to continue to be inspired by his legacy, so that I could claim to have been his friend. I have not met his family but I know how he felt loved… Read more »
