Norfolk- Brenda Joy Aguiar 64, of Norfolk Virginia passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 17, 2021 after a courageous private battle with breast cancer.  Brenda was born in Norfolk, graduated from Lake Taylor High School and retired from First Colony Coffee & Tea.  Brenda loved playing Scrabble and doing word puzzles with family and friends.  She was very competitive in softball, duck pin bowling and pool.  Brenda was an avid birder and loved nature.  She never met a stray animal she didn’t take care of.

Brenda is predeceased by her parents Arthur R. and Edna Rae Aguiar. She is survived by her life partner Gary Kramer, son Robert Kramer as well as her brother Joseph Aguiar and wife Judy, sisters Janet Aguiar, Eva Aguiar Jordan and husband Mike, Betty Aguiar Segarra and husband Efrain, Nancy Aguiar Tubbs, Donna Aguiar Blevins and husband Danny.  She also leaves behind to cherish her memory nieces and nephews Arthur Aguiar, John Tubbs II and Linda, Gabrielle Barnett, Richard Thornton, Andrew Thornton,  Ava Cates, John Tubbs III, William (Billy) Tubbs, John Smith, and Emmett Smith.

Services will be private.

Brenda will be missed but not forgotten.  She will be cherished in our hearts forever.
