Catherine M. Taggert, 92, of Norfolk, Virginia, peacefully passed away in her home on April 21, 2023.

Catherine was born on April 2, 1931, to Patrick and Bridget (O’Malley) Noonan in County Mayo, Ireland.

Catherine was predeceased by her husband James Taggert, his son Daniel, daughter Jean, grandson John Michael, and five brothers: Joseph Edward, Thomas, Philip, James, and her sister Mary (Noonan) Flannigan. She is survived by her family Patrick and Dawn Taggert, Michael and Pamela Taggert, Kenneth and Veronica Taggert, Joseph Taggert and Rebecca Jaurequi, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed her time teaching at Christ The King in Norfolk, Virginia. She also taught at East Meadow, Long Island, Yonkers, New York and Cicero, Illinois.

Catherine wishes to thank Dr Michael Camp and Angie Nichols, RN for their many years of health care.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Christ The King Church, 1803 Columbia Ave. Norfolk, Virginia by Father Joseph Wamala on May 27, 2023 at 5:30 pm.  Following mass will be an inurnment in the church columbarium.
