Cecelia Ellen Walker, age 87, of Chesapeake, VA passed away Sunday January 16, 2022, at her home. Born in Ahoskie, NC, on January 7, 1935, to the late Edward Carl Lowe, Sr., and Mildred Clay Early Lowe, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Walker for 60 years. Cecelia known as Ellen was a warm-hearted grandmother to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, & great, great grandchildren. The little ones always loved Grandma’s snuggles and hugs! Cecelia was a feisty woman who loved shopping, yard sailing and most of all reading. She is survived by 1 sister Ramona Humphries, 2 brothers Edward Carl Lowe, Jr., and Robert J. Lowe, 2 children Patricia Beatty & Donna Smith, 7 grandchildren Melissa Basnight, Bobby Comellas, Dianna Comellas, Jillian Williams, Katie Hamby, Jimmy Beatty, Cecelia Fanton, and Grant Walker, great grandchildren & great, great grandchildren, Bryan Hagaman, Jr., Hayley Hagaman, Jacob Williams, Christian Williams, Dylan Williams, Walker Howlett, Bryan Hagaman, III, Kaileia Hagaman, and many others. She was predeceased by her loving husband Robert E. Walker, and 4 children, Barbara Riveros, Robin Dobzynski, Robert E. Walker, Jr., and Stephen Walker. A Celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in honor of Cecelia E Walker’s passion for literacy and helping young minds develop.
