Virginia Beach- Charles Arthur Werner Bemmann, 73, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Born in Relay, Maryland he attended Wood Lawn Senior High School. He served proudly in the United States Navy for 21 years as a radioman. He worked for ISC and Rosenblatt for over 10 years as a defense consultant. He was a member of the Retired Radioman Association, United Illocano Assoc of Tidewater, Samahang Tagalog, East Coast San Antonians, and the FRA.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Kroll, father Werner Bemmann; sisters Sarah Sanchez and June Scharf; son-in-law Pacifico Dabu and daughter-in-law Laura Bemmann. Left to cherish his memory: his wife of 52 years Cecilia Bemmann; son Rick Bemmann; daughters Michelle Bemmann Crews and Tina Dabu; son-in-law Roger Crews; grandchildren, Connor Dabu, Cameron Dabu, Sloane Woods, Matthew Dabu, and Benjamin Dabu; and many nieces and nephews.

Charles was a great husband, a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid hunter, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. We are grateful for your love, service, and making everything possible for the family, Butch, you will be missed.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St Matthews Roman Catholic Church on Saturday February 12, 2022 at 11:00am.
