Portsmouth- George Brady White passed away on May 27, 2023 and leaves behind his daughter Sheri (Pat) Arnold and son Brady (Annie) White, grandchildren Cory Arnold, Jackson Arnold, and Zachary White, step-grandchildren Ryan (Jessie) Arnold and Megan Arnold, former wife Mavis (Lee) Benz, sisters Betty (Mike – deceased) Mason, Bernice (Tom) Golding, and Lessie Anne (Doug – deceased) Morris, and brother Haskew White. George is joining his beloved family in heaven and the angels are rejoicing with him as he will spend the rest of eternity there with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

His life is remembered and marked by us with giving his time, talents, and treasure to his family and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF). His “lucky number 13” will be retired by the SW Chapter of the RMEF.

After dropping out of school in the 7th grade, George joined the US Army by forging his birth certificate so he could join up before he was legally eligible to do so. He served his country with pride and distinction for 27 years in the Army then in the Navy retiring as a Boatswains Mate Senior Chief Petty Officer.

George leaves behind an amazing legacy of love, forgiveness, duty to country, honor, and living a life of integrity for his family and friends to emulate. He will be greatly missed by all of us who knew him!

The family will have a celebration of life party later this summer (TBD). In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you give to the K9 For Warriors organization to help Veterans overcome PTSD (https://k9sforwarriors.org).

Cremation and Funeral Services of Tidewater is assisting his family.  Please share memories and condolences at CandFServices.com
