James C. Pearce, Jr. was born on April 19, 1927; he passed away peacefully on January 6, 2023 at the age of 95.
James was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Polly Pearce, his daughter Sandra Winslow, father James Pearce, Sr., mother Della Collendar, sister Helen Boone and his brother Jack Pearce.
He is survived by his children Cynthia Ford (Gary), Janet Mansfield (Robert) and James (Jimbo) Pearce (Pam). His loyal and loving dog Jamie. As well as 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and many other close relatives and wonderful friends.
He proudly served in the Army during WWII, he then joined the Norfolk Fire Department rising to the rank of Captain. He retired after 30 years. After retirement he sold cars for Perry Buick, homes for Judy Boone Realty, and ended his career working for his great nephew at Ocean View Fishing Pier; a job he absolutely loved.
A private service will be held at a later date.
