Virginia Beach- Jane T. Sawyer, 61, passed away February 15, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Lee Sawyer; daughter, Kendall McLeod and husband Jeremy; their kids, Lex and Connor; son, Lee Sawyer and wife Mandy; their kids, Hudson and Haddie; sister, Lew Thomas and her friend Cheryl Lesko; brother, Woodall Thomas and wife Diana; her best friend, Debbie Aslaksen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Lewis and Jane Thomas; brothers, Bill and Richard Cannon.
Jane’s favorite times were spent with her grandbabies and family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 691 Princess Anne Rd. Va Beach, VA 23457 officiated by Pastor Chuck Moseley. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Oak Grove Baptist Church.

My heart is broken. I was fortunate to work with Jane for several years and we became fast friends. Jane always had something positive to say and always lit up the room with her smile and quick wit. She loved her family with all of her being. Love and prayers to Howard, her kids and precious grandkids. May she soar with angels. I’ll never forget her and the good times we had together. I love you, Jane.

My condolences to the family of Jane Thomas Sawyer. I was so sorry to hear about her passing. My sisters and I grew up across the field from her on Culver Lane. Time flies by so fast.
