Louise Trainor Wild, 88, passed away from pancreatic cancer on December 9, 2021, at the Atlantic Shores retirement center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She received tremendous and compassionate care from Suncrest Hospice and the Atlantic Shores staff.
She was married to Kenneth C. Wild from 1986 until his passing in August 2021. Her first marriage to Eugene F. Trainor lasted for 22 years.
She was born in Boston, grew up in South Boston and Worcester, Mass., and attended Worcester State College where she received a bachelor’s degree in education, and later, a master’s degree in education from Northeastern University.
Louise and Eugene raised four children in Acton, Mass. She taught reading at Westborough Jr. High School.
After the marriage to Eugene ended, she remarried and moved to Virginia Beach where she tutored at Sylvan Learning Center and lectured/volunteered at the Association for Research and Enlightenment.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene F. Trainor of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Christopher V. Trainor of Boxborough, MA, and two daughters, Pamela T. Hines of Holliston, MA and Elise A. Shelley of Cochrane, Alberta, Canada. She had 8 grandchildren and a 9th who passed in 1998.

Louise will be truly missed by her sisters in American Association of University Women. She brought good cheer, a wonderful sense of humor, and actively participated in our mission to empower women and girls in Virginia Beach. I will miss Louise so much…sister tea appreciator and fun always. I will miss her.
