Norfolk- Raymond Leroy Dodson, 79, of Norfolk, VA passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.
Fondly know as Leroy; he graduated from Norview High School in 1962. After retiring from owning a Murray Cookie route he worked for Checkered Flag as a parts delivery driver. He enjoyed playing softball, coaching Pony baseball and football. His hobbies included camping, fishing, playing with his grandchildren and watching football, baseball and racing. Leroy never met a stranger and loved animals, especially german shepherds.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 42 years Anita Dodson; daughters Cynthia Dewberry, Saundra Dodson and Terri Duggan (David), son Roy Dodson, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his best dog Prince.
