I first met Rose in the fall of 1972, when we both went back to school at ODU to obtain a BSN. We took many classes together and at times studied together in the Student Center. Later our paths crossed again at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Rose was a compassionate nurse. She was always smiling. The picture is how I remember Rose even though it has been many years since I last saw her.

Rose was such a woman of faith. I learned much in her Sunday School class. I also appreciated her words of wisdom about marriage and motherhood. She will be missed.
