Norfolk- Sandy Freeman was born October 8, 1962, to the late Ralph Freeman and Ada M. Freeman of Carvers Park, Murfreesboro, N.C. She peacefully departed this life, a few days shy of her 59th birthday, on October 4, 2021 at 12:15 Pm.
Sandy left home as a young adult to explore and pursue her dreams. Within a few years and became pregnant with her first child (Keshana Lewis Langdon) from this a union was formed with Kenneth Lewis. Just a few years Later she had her second child, Sharonda Sykes.
Sandy spent most of her adult life in VA and eventually settled for a quiet life with an ocean view in Norfolk, VA with her daughter Sharonda Sykes. She enjoyed going to church, donating and helping the homeless and spending time on the beach. Sandy enjoyed listening to music and singing. Although she chose to live a quiet life she spent her later years rebuilding relationships and forming new friendships!
To carry on her legacy, she leaves behind Keshana Lewis Langdon, son in law Walter Langdon and two grandchildren (Kaiya & Adrian) and her youngest daughter Sharonda Sykes who is currently building her future in Norfolk, Va with the help of friends, mentors and peers.
In addition to her children, she leaves behind her remaining family, Rodney Freeman, Greta Freeman, Yvonne Hatfield, Ralph T. Freeman, Lesa Freeman, and Teale Freeman.
Those who preceded Sandy in restful slumber include Ada and Ralph Freeman, Chauncey Freeman, and Angela (Freeman) Green (Sam Green – alive and well). She also leaves behind a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, a few Great Nieces and Nephews to honor and cherish her loving memory.
