Memorial Gifts & Donations
Stanley (Stan) D. Mueske was born in Rochester, MN on September 7th, 1942. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Leah R. Mueske of 43 years. He is also preceded in death by his mother June Mueske, Father Bennie Mueske and 3 brothers Wayne, Bob and Donald Mueske as well as his daughter Jennifer Peplowski. Stan leaves behind his daughter Kimberly Hinkens (Dallas), as well as her 4 children, Ashlyn, Shelby, Haley, and Liam. He also leaves behind his 3 other grandchildren Kaitlin, Brooke and Emily. Lets not forget about his great grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Stanley Mueske was a retired Boatswains Mate Chief in the Navy where he proudly served our country during the Vietnam War. If he ever came across another Vietnam Vet he always made sure to strike up a conversation. He was a proud member of the local AA groups around the area where he became very loved. Stanley was sober for 43 years before he passed away and that was an accomplishment he was very proud about! On top of all of those accomplishments he also served his civic league for many years and ran his lawn business until we made him quit!
If you truly knew Stan you knew the kind of person he really was. He was never afraid to speak his mind but was also the kind of person who would do anything for anyone. Don’t think you were ever going to walk into his house and leave hungry because if you did then it was your own fault. You could never come to his house and leave empty handed. He always made sure you left with something in your hand!
Stanley will be very missed by everyone! There will be a full Military honors ceremony held at Albert G Horton Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va as well as a celebration of life at his home. Please check back for the dates. In lieu of flowers or monetary donations please feel free to donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Cremation & Funeral Services of Tidewater is assisting his family. Please leave condolences at CandFServices.com.
